    At the end of last year, we invited you to let us know how we're doing with our first Soften the Fck Up survey. The results of the survey drove our strategy session with the team in mid-January and I would love to share with you some of the findings from the survey. The majority of the survey respondents were 20-34 years old although participants ranged from 14-19 years old to 35+ . We asked you what are some of the issues currently on the website that you have been affected by. The top three issues were:
    • Stress
    • Feeling crap
    • Body Image
    You also indicated that you want to see content on bipolar disorder, isolation, parenting, sexual assault, homelessness, emasculation, ...

    I have tried to take my life twice. These suicide attempts, not surprisingly, were the lowest points in my 26-year life. They were not cries for help and they were not attention seeking. I was seriously ill and I genuinely wanted to die to end my pain and what I thought was the pain of my friends and family. If I had not been found, I might not be here to write this story. Twice in my life I almost made the worst mistake I could have possibly made. It was the powerful, seductive and poisonous voice of depression that drove me to that point. It is a damaging illness.     Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a day we recognise that most suicide is preventable and all of us have a role to play in reducing the number of suicide in Australia. A day we recognise that as Australians, we need to start the tough conversations with our mates and look out for our mates who might be going through a bit of a rough time, and get them help.
