    And there are a lot of reasons why you might be feeling crap. The important thing to do is try to work out why you’re feeling crap. How else will you address the negative emotions?     Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a day we recognise that most suicide is preventable and all of us have a role to play in reducing the number of suicide in Australia.   • Why it’s not just a men’s issue

    For the first time in a long time, I have found myself struggling to type the words swirling around my mind on a topic that is so passionately engrained in my soul; mental health. Normally I’m not afraid of, or have any trouble, writing about my own experience with mental health and advocating for greater Government support and systemic change. But this is for some reason, different. Perhaps it’s because I feel inferior and unqualified to write on the topic of men and mental health. I mean, what value or empathy could I possibly convey as a woman towards men who are struggling? Why would any man, young or old reading this, listen to anything I have to say on a topic that statistically they won’t even admit to themselves ...
